2017 PREDICCIONES DEL OSCAR (89TH ACADEMY AWARDS PREDICTIONS) ENERO (JANUARY) ANTES DE SABER A LOS NOMINADOS

A un día de saber quienes son los nominados para la 89ª entrega de los premios de la Academia, La La Land sigue firme como la favorita a Mejor película y asegurada por muchos como el largometraje que arrasará con todos los premios técnicos en los que esté nominado. Por otra parte, no hay que descartar que los dramas indies Moonlight y  Manchester by the Sea tengan la oportunidad sorpresa de arrebatar el Óscar a Mejor película al musical de Damien Chazelle. 

Con respecto a la gran duda popular de cuántos serán los filmes nominados a Mejor Película, me atrevo a decir que este año -al igual que el anterior- serán 8 las afortunadas a competir, mas pienso dar la oportunidad a otra película de competir por un noveno lugar en estas predicciones.

La categoría Mejor dirección mantiene asegurados a Chazelle, Jenkins, Lonergan y Villenueve por sus respectivos trabajos. Pero: ¿Quién a de ocupar el quinto lugar? A juzgar por las premiaciones de a lo largo del año y la repercusión mediática que se ha oído desde que estrenó su película Hacksaw Ridge -considerada por algunos críticos como su <<filme redentor>>, Mel Gibson es el indicado para completar el quinteto.

Después de que Isabelle Huppert ganó el premio a la Mejor actriz en una película dramática, las cosas en la categoría Mejor actriz están un tanto inciertas, así como la aparición de Aaron Taylor-Johnson como uno de los favoritos en la categoría Mejor actor de reparto.

En el rubro Mejor guion original, La La Land y Manchester by the Sea -y quizá Hell or High Water- se dan riña para la victoria, mas encontramos películas que nos pueden sorprender siendo nominadas como es el caso de la distópica y absurda comedia The Lobster del director griego Yorgos Lanthimos, y el drama social I, Daniel Blake que se llevó varias nominaciones a los premios BAFTA y la Palm D'Or en Cannes. Además, es probable ver a estas cintas británicas lograr una nominación debido a que muchas sorpresivamente en años anteriores lo han logrado, ejemplo son Another Year de Mike Leigh e In the Loop de Armando Iannucci. Sin embargo, no hay que descartar a la chance de ver a Jackie, Captain Fantastic y 20th Century Women ser nominadas.
